Can someone with a disability experience Dinner in the Sky?

Experience is possible for wheelchair users and people with mild disabilities, BUT please write to us in advance before purchasing your seat with a detailed explanation on your condition for our safety officer to evaluate and advise accordingly.

How many people can sit around the table per flight?

Dinner in the Sky table can sit a maximum of 22 people per session.

How long does each experience last?

The dining experience in the sky will take 15 min for seating guests and 30 min for unseating the guests. Please also be there 30 min before your flight. The flight duration on the table takes for lunch 45 min, High Tea 30 min and for dinner 60 min.

What happens if it rains before the experience take place?

The experience can also take place in moderate rain since the platform is covered. In heavy rain, thunderstorms or strong gusts of wind, the organizers has the rights to delay the experience/ flight (at the organizers’ discretion but with a maximum delay of 90minutes) to wait for the bad weather conditions to stop. If the bad weather conditions still does not stop during or after this time, the dinner experience will be cancelled or reschedule and refund policy will be as follow:
A voucher with the same value will be issued to be used at the current event season or full refund will apply within maximum of 21 days.

What if I have to use the restroom?

All guests are recommended to use the restroom prior to taking their seats. However if there is an emergency and you need to use the restrooms during your flight, the platform table will be lowered, but you will not be able to continue the flight session.

Is the experience safe?

Yes it is. Dinner in the Sky, currently operating in more than 50 countries around the world, is designed and constructed according to European model EN 13814 that refers to the construction and operation of amusement parks. The steel carrying structure of Dinner in the Sky fulfils the requirements of the Standard 4112 edition from 1983 as confirmed by TÜV Rheinland. Both platform and suspension mechanism have been certified. This obsession for safety is probably one of the reasons why the experience is now operated in more than 50 countries and got the official authorizations from some of the toughest countries in the world. Thousands of Dinner in the Sky experience has taken place since its launch in May 2006.

How high does the table go?

The table can go up to 40 meters. However, the actual height of the table during the experience it is at the organizer’s discretion, based on wind conditions.

What happens if I don’t turn up? Can I get a refund?

Kindly note that once a seat purchase has been made, strictly no refund will be given, unless the experience is cancelled by the organizer themselves, for reasons such as bad weather etc. The table will take off as per schedule. Failure to reach on time will deem your admission as forfeited with no refunds given.

Is the seat transferable?

Seats purchased are transferable to another person.

What if my session is cancelled?

The experience will only be cancelled if there are major occurrences such as natural disasters, bad weather (heavy rain, thunderstorms or strong gusts of wind), etc. In such cases, a full refund on the credit/debit card for people who purchased the weather insurance and a voucher with the same value will be issued to the people who did not purchase the weather insurance to be used in Qatar within the current event duration.

Why shall I reach 30 minutes prior the session?

Once you reach on your time (30 min prior the session) there will be a welcome tent with welcoming drinks awaiting you. You will be checked in at the reception and will have a safety briefing prior the session.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, they can if they meet the minimum requirements of a minimum height of 140 cm.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking (including all types of electronic cigarettes) is not permitted during your ‘flight’. Security reasons prohibit smoking on Dinner in the Sky everywhere in the world. But you can smoke in the lounge area before & after your dinner.

Is there any dress code?

Dinner in the sky is a breathtaking outdoor life experience. As a result, you should get dressed comfortably and warm during cold & breezy nights, while you could think of avoiding skirts, Abaya and open shoes. Basically you can come in an elegant outfit as well as in a casual look.

Can I change my food menu?

We have a standard set menu with different options (meat & vegetarian) for the main course. However you can only change the menu if you book a full table with all 22 seats. We require your written request at least 3 days in advance. In principle, an individual change of the menu is possible at extra cost depending on the availability of a complete flight with 22 seats.

What if I have dietary references?

We can adjust the menu to meet your dietary preferences i.e. vegetarian, no seafood, allergies. Please enter your preferences during the reservation process or simply send us an email at info@dinnerinthesky.qa.

What if I am afraid of heights?

Dinner in the Sky is a once in a life time experience. As a guest wrote in his review “if you are afraid of heights just get over it and go, you won’t regret it”
